WHO CAN JOIN?
Membership is open to ANYONE interested in the Orff philosophy. Our members are primarily elementary music teachers who use the process developed by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman, but we welcome anyone who wants to know more about this exciting process of instruction. Classroom teachers, early childhood educators, and those involved with private instruction are all welcome.Many of our teachers have taken Orff Schulwerk Teacher Training classes (Levels I-III) but that training is not a requirement for membership. We certainly encourage the Orff Schulwerk training, but for many of our members, the regular workshops are their primary involvement with the Orff process.BENEFITS
Membership in MMOSA provides music teachers with workshops to learn more about the Orff Schulwerk philosophy and to network with other teachers in the MID MICHIGAN area. Through membership in the national organization, American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) teachers receive a quarterly journal and access to other local workshops and to the national conference in November each year.
